Coller Capital’s 2024 ESG Report

ESG at the firm
The Sustainability Working Group

The Sustainability Working Group is made up of colleagues from various teams across the business and reports to the ESG Committee. This group supports the firm’s sustainability responsibilities at the corporate level and is primarily managed by the Facilities team.

This includes responsibility for our broader sustainability impact and footprint across our global offices, as well as our relationships with suppliers.

Examples of this work include ensuring that our cleaning contractors are paid the London Living Wage, assisting with Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) for our London office, working to measure, reduce and report on Coller’s carbon footprint (to support our climate neutral status); and ensuring compliance with the UK’s Modern Slavery Act.

In 2024, other firm-wide initiatives from the Sustainability Working Group included:

Second-Hand September: all offices participated in this event, donating clothing to various charities to support reuse and recycling.

Waste separation: bin stations were installed to promote better waste sorting and ensure more materials are properly recycled.

Eco-conscious binding materials: we shifted to sustainable options for binding materials across offices.

Some of our offices have also made important strides in environmental initiatives. In London, Park House won the International Silver Green Apple Environment Award 2024 for its excellence in environmental efforts. In Hong Kong, we relocated to The Henderson building, which is equipped with multiple green certifications including, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy generation, advanced waste management, and climate resilience measures.
