Coller Capital’s 2025 ESG Report

Firm level sustainability
At Coller Capital, diversity is not only celebrated but is fundamental to our continued success. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is deeply embedded in our values and culture, shaping how we work and grow together.

Strengthening our DEI strategy
Over the past year, we undertook a comprehensive review and refresh of our DEI strategy in close collaboration with business leaders. This process involved reassessing our goals, committee structure, and accountability mechanisms, resulting in more representation and ownership from senior leaders across the firm.

We recognise that there is still progress to be made in advancing DEI and fostering a truly inclusive workplace within the firm. Our Global Talent and DEI Manager, Mandeep Plaha, continues to lead efforts and work closely with all seniority levels to embed and strengthen best practices that drive meaningful improvement in our internal DEI initiatives.

Our internal DEI committee is spearheaded into five subcommittees, each chaired by an experienced leader passionate about serving as a powerful voice. Notable achievements by these committees in 2025 include:

Women committee
In March, International Women’s Day was celebrated with a panel event focused on the theme ‘Accelerate Action‘ to advance gender equality and empowerment. Distinguished speakers, including Florence Hamilton, the founder of INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business UK, shared insights and personal experiences related to proactive initiatives. A Women’s Speed Networking event was also held which was an opportunity for women across all offices to connect with senior professionals. This event promoted relationship building and the exchange of ideas to foster career growth and mentorship.

Mental Health and Wellbeing committee
This year, Coller certified 14 Mental Health First Aiders in London, with plans to expand this initiative to other offices. The sub-committee also organised several events for Mental Health Awareness week in May including a calming origami workshop and an energetic group fun run for employees in London. In Singapore, colleagues treated themselves to head massages to unwind and recharge; and in Beijing, the team enjoyed a mindful walk. In addition, there is now a London office yoga provision up and running to improve physical wellbeing and we are finalising a location for a Hong Kong provision. In the Summer, a week of volunteering activities were organised in both London and New York to support a range of causes, boosting morale and comradery amongst colleagues.

Pride committee
To celebrate Pride Month in June, Coller offices around the globe marked the occasion with themed drinks, decorations and events. There was also a speaker series where Raheel Qayyum, an external assurance professional and the prior Wells Fargo Pride chair, and Agustin Martinez, the head of Coller’s Pride committee shared their experience growing up and entering the Finance workspace as members of the LGBTQ community. In addition, Coller became part of the Out Investors network and part of the K&E LGBTQ network and attended their most recent event with representatives of primaries and secondaries firm.

DEI has remained front and centre for Coller Capital, as it is a core value of the firm, appreciated and relevant for our employees, despite some headwinds in the world challenging its essence and purpose. In 2025, our committee has been very active on many fronts and looking ahead to next year, the firm will continue to focus on the hiring and retention of diverse talents.
