New York, 24 June, 2024 – Coller Capital, the world’s largest independent investor dedicated exclusively to private markets secondaries*, has hired Matthew McCann as a Director in New York to focus on RIA and family office sales within its Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions team. The appointment underlines Coller Capital’s commitment to its PWSS business across all channels, globally.
Previously, Mr. McCann spent 7 years as a Principal at Investcorp, where he was responsible for family office, RIA and institutional fundraising for the firm’s private equity and GP stakes businesses. Prior to that, he spent twelve years at SkyBridge Capital as a Director leading the firm’s family office and institutional sales in the U.S.
The PWSS team, which launched in 2023, now consists of 30 dedicated individuals. In April, the firm launched Coller Secondaries Private Equity Opportunities Fund (“C-SPEF”), a tender offer fund open to accredited high-net-worth investors in the U.S.
The senior appointment of Mr. McCann is the latest in a series of hires that Coller Capital has made to grow the global footprint of its PWSS business. In this new role, Mr. McCann will work closely with Jonathan McEvoy, Managing Director and Co-head of US Private Wealth Distribution.
