Prior to joining Coller Capital in 2006, Peter spent 17 years leveraging research and technology assets from corporations, research centres and universities worldwide. His experience has included senior positions at: Panasonic (in Osaka, Japan); IPVALUE Management (in Palo Alto, CA); University Patents (in Westport, CT); and Invisible Hand LLC ( New York, NY) – a $50 million seed fund that he founded and led. During this time, he managed over 150 spin-outs, start-ups and licensing programmes.
Peter has a GEC-sponsored PhD from Cranfield Institute of Technology and a first class honours degree in Engineering & Management from Bradford University. He holds a Senior Industry Fellowship in corporate venturing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded a Honda Fellowship in technology innovation by Tokyo University. Peter has dual US-UK citizenship and speaks conversational Japanese.
